Parables of Jesus - A power that transforms and Raises

Many scholars and influential men had gone to hear the Prophet of Galilee. Some of them looked with interest to the curious crowd that had gathered around Christ, as taught by the sea. In this great crowd were represented all classes of society. There were the poor, the illiterate, ragged beggars, thieves with the stigma of guilt in the face, the lame, the dissolute, the merchants and the unemployed, high and low, rich and poor, all jostling for a place to hear the words of Christ. Looking at these men of culture, the strange meeting, ask each other: the kingdom of God is composed of elements like this? Again the Savior replied with a parable:
"The kingdom of heaven is like leaven which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened." Matthew 13:33.
Among the Jews, leaven was sometimes used as an emblem of sin. At Easter time, the people were instructed to remove from their homes all the ferment, as they should banish the sin of the heart. Christ warned His disciples: "... Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees which is hypocrisy." Luc. 12:1. And the apostle Paul speaks of "the leaven of malice and wickedness." I Corinthians 5:8. But in the parable of the Savior, the yeast is used to represent the kingdom of God. Illustrates the life-giving power and assimilative of God's grace.
Nobody is so vile, so anyone fallen, which is beyond the operation of this power. In all who desire to submit to the Holy Spirit must be deployed a new principle of life: the lost image of God must be restored in humanity.
But man can not be transformed by the exercise of his will. It has no power by means of which this change can be made. The leaven - something wholly external - must be introduced into the flour before making the desired change is. Thus the grace of God must be received by the sinner before he was made fit for the kingdom of glory. Every culture and education that the world can offer, will fail in making a degraded child of sin, a son of Heaven The renewing energy must come from God. The change can only be effected by the Holy Spirit.

"Blessed are those who walk in straight paths and walk in the law of the Lord. Blessed are they that keep His testimonies and seek Him with all my heart. And no iniquity: they walk in His ways. Thou hast commanded Thy commandments, that diligently. I hope that my ways are directed in a way that I could observe Thy statutes. "Psalm 119:1-5.
Everyone who wants to be saved, noble or humble, rich or poor, must submit to the performance of this power.
Like yeast, mixed with flour, operates from the inside out, so is the renewal of the heart, the grace of God works to transform lives. Do not just external change to bring us into harmony with God. There are many who seek to reform themselves, correcting this or that bad habit, and hope thereby to become Christians, but they are starting in the wrong place. Our first task is with the heart.
The profession of faith and truth in possession of the soul are two different things. It is not enough merely to know the truth. We have this and even the content of our thoughts not be changed. The heart needs to be converted and sanctified.
The man who tries to observe the commandments of God for a sense of obligation - only because it is required to do so - never feel the joy of obedience. Does not obey. When, be contrary to human inclination, the claims of God are considered a burden, we know that life is not a Christian life. True obedience is an expression of an inner principle. It arises from the love of justice, love God's law. The essence of all righteousness is

"Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven Thy faithfulness endures from generation to generation: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. I will never forget of Thy precepts, for by them thou hast quickened. I saw out of all perfection, but Thy commandment is exceeding broad. "Psalm 119:89 and 90, 93 and 96.
loyalty to our Redeemer. This will lead us to do what is right because it is right, because righteousness is acceptable to God.
The great truth of conversion of heart by the Holy Spirit is presented in the words of Christ to Nicodemus, "Verily, I say to you in one who is born again he can not see the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that you have said, Ye must be born again. The wind blows where it wishes and you hear its voice, but knowest not whence it comes or whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. "John 3:3, 6-8.
The apostle Paul, writing by inspiration of the Holy Spirit says: "God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace ye are saved) and raised us up with Him, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, in the coming centuries to show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: it is God's gift. "Eph. 2:4-8.
The yeast hidden in flour works invisibly to submit all the mass in its leavening process, so the leaven of truth works secretly, persistently silent and to transform the person. The natural inclinations are softened and subdued. Are deployed new ideas, new feelings, new motives.

"I will praise Thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. I will keep thy statutes: forsake me not utterly. "Psalm 119:7 and 8.
A new standard of character is proposed - life of Christ. The mind is changed, the faculties are stimulated to action in new areas. Man is endowed with new faculties, but the colleges that are sanctified have. The conscience is aroused. We are endowed with character traits that enable us to serve God.
Often the question arises: Why then are there so many would-be believers in the Word of God, in which you do not see a reform in language, in the spirit and character? Why are so many that can not be opposed to his purposes and plans, which manifest unsanctified temper, and whose words are rude, insulting and passionate? It is seen in his life the same self-love, the same selfish indulgence, the same temper and hasty speech, seen in the life of the mundane. There is the same sensitive pride, the same delivery to the natural inclination, the same perversity of character, as if truth were entirely unknown to them. The reason is that they are not converted. No leaven hid in the heart of truth. He had no opportunity to do his work. Their natural tendencies and cultured for evil were not subdued

"As a young man cleanse his way? Watching him according to Thy word. With all my heart I sought, let me not wander from Your commandments. Have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against Thee in Thy precepts meditate and look upon thy ways. I will rejoice in thy statutes: I will not forget Your word. "Psalm 119:9-11, 15 and 16. his transforming power. The lives of these people reveals the absence of the grace of Christ, an unbelief in His power to regenerate character.
"Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." Rom. 10:17 AM. The Scriptures are the great vehicle in the transformation of character. Christ prayed, "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." John 17:17. Studied and obeyed the Word of God acts on the heart, subduing every unholy attribute. The Holy Spirit comes to convict of sin, and faith that springs from the heart works by love to Christ, conforming us in body, soul and spirit in His own image. Then God can use us to do His will. The power granted to us works from within outwards, leading us to transmit to others the truth that we have received.
The truths of God's Word supply the great need of the practical man - the conversion of the soul by faith. These broad principles should not be judged too pure or holy to be introduced in daily life. These are truths that reach the sky and cover eternity, yet their vital influence must be intertwined with the human experience.

"Teach me, O Lord, the way of Thy statutes, and keep it unto the end. Give me understanding, and keep Thy law and observe it I will whole-heartedly. Make me walk in the truth of Thy commandments, for therein do I delight. Confirm your promise to your servant, which inclines to Thy fear. Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good. "Psalm 119:33-35, 38 and 39.
Should permeate all things important and lows of life.
Received in the heart, the leaven of truth will regulate the desires, purify the thoughts and dulcificará the character. Quicken the powers of mind and the energies of the soul. Increases the ability to feel, to love.
The world considers a mystery man who is imbued with this principle. The selfish and living only lover of money to ensure the riches, honors and pleasures of this world. Disregards the eternal world. But to the follower of Christ, these things are not all-absorbing. Work for the cause of Christ and deny yourself, so you can help in the great work of saving people who are without Christ and without hope in the world. Such a man the world can not understand, because in order to preserve the eternal realities. The love of Christ with His redeeming power, penetrated the heart. This love dominates all other motives and raises its possessor above the corrupting influence of the world.
The Word of God must have sanctifying effect on our association with each member of the human family. The yeast will not produce the true spirit of rivalry, love, ambition, desire for primacy. True love, coming from above, is not selfish nor changeable. Is not dependent on human praise. The heart of those who receive the grace

"Lamp to my feet is your word and a light to my path. And do I swore that I will keep thy righteous judgments. Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever, they are the rejoicing of my heart. I have inclined mine heart to perform Your statutes forever, to the end. "Psalm 119:105, 106, 111 and 112. of God, overflowing with love for God and those for whom Christ died. What I do not fight for no recognition. Do not love others because the love and suit, by assessing its merits, but because they were acquired property of Christ. If his motives, words or acts are misunderstood or misinterpreted, is not offended but continues in the same way to proceed. It is kind and thoughtful, humble in the concept itself, yet is full of hope, always trusting in the grace and love of God.
The apostle exhorts us: "But, like the Holy One who called you, be ye holy in all your way of life, because it is written: Be holy, for I am holy." I Pet. 1:15 and 16. The grace of Christ must govern the temperament and voice. Its operation will be seen in politeness and tender regard manifested brother with brother, in kind words and encouragement. There is an angelic presence in the home. Life exudes a sweet fragrance which ascends to God as holy incense. Love manifests itself in kindness, courtesy, mercy and patience.
The countenance becomes. The presence of Christ in the heart, reveals the face of those who love Him and keep His commandments. The truth is there written. It turns out the sweet peace of heaven is expressed usual courtesy, love more than human.
The leaven of truth works a transformation in the whole man, making the rough polished the rough gentle, the selfish generous. By it the corrupt is purified, washed in the blood of the Lamb. By His life-giving power, takes the whole mind, soul and strength into harmony with the divine life. The man with his human nature becomes a participant of divinity. Christ is honored in excellence and perfection of character. Making these changes is, the angels break into corners enlevantes, and God and Christ should rejoice beings shaped by the divine likeness.
